Don?t worry! It?s not about killing; it?s about converting ?
Still, if you want to be a ripper, do it for a good purpose! For you, for your friends, for your computer, for your free time and - who knows - even for me!
As a matter of fact, I?m not talking about crime at all! That is, if you don?t have a strange fetish with DVDs. Though, if you have one, don?t worry, this DVD ripper is not that ruthless. You can only use it in order to convert audio or video data, to transfer what you have on your DVD to your hard disk, to make a digital copy of a DVD file format.
If you don?t trust share programs, if you have a low download speed and it would be easier to knock your friend?s next door than wait for hours until the movie you desperately want to see downloads, it?s better to borrow the DVD. You?ll have the possibility to see it a hundred times if you want! Unfortunately, without a DVD ripper the movie you want remains hidden inside that shiny round thing and your hands tied?
If you already have a DVD ripper, take care! As audio and video are two separate things, you can not do it all at once, as the file formats are different. This means that you need both an audio ripper and a video ripper. And it?s easier if you have them both in one single software product, isn?t it?
For a successful and efficient ripping to have a DVD ripper is not enough, though! The basic things that you must know regard the drive speed, cpu speed, disk space, malware, the processor needed and the available memory. A factor that influences the working speed of the DVD ripper is the drive speed. For example, an 8X drive means that the ripping process is eight times faster than the DVD playing process. So the fastest drive allows you to rip faster! Another factor, as I mentioned above is the cpu speed. A slow cpu can cause a slowdown as it can not work at the speed of the drive. Another problem may occur if your computer is not clean. Spyware, software updates, games, applications, etc running in the background as they can damage the process of the DVD audio ripper and the video DVD ripper. It is also important to have a fast computer in order to handle the conversion of DVDs to your hard drive. A 2 ghz+ processor should be able to do the job quite well. Also having more than 40 GB of free space is recommended if you do not want to spend an hour ripping your DVD and find out that your DVD ripper has ran out of space and must quit.
For all this to happen the way you want it, you can use DVDSanta. It has nothing to do with Christmas, nor is it a technological avatar of old Santa! It?s just a ripper? but it brings you presents and ? no surprises; you can bet on this!
DVDSanta is an All-in-One software that makes possible the copying, creating, converting and burning your DVD movies. It can also turn your photos into DVD movies with motion effects, convert other video formats(avi,wmv,vob,asf...) into DVD video, transfer miniDV camcorder tapes directly to DVD video. And you?ll find it extremely easy to use and efficient.

Plasma TVs And Your Home Entertainment Center
by: John Rivers
It seems as if everyone these days is showing off their expensive flashy new home entertainment centers. They?re linked wirelessly to computers, have more speakers than a Rolling Stone?s concert, and cost more than a midsize luxury sedan. They feature DVD players, DVR or Tivo, CD players, MP3 players, and anything else you can imagine. The centerpiece, though, still remains the same: the television.
Plasma TVs have recently been introduced to the market. They are extremely flat television panels which make them very easy to mount on either a wall, in a cabinet or on other specially designed furniture. Plasma TVs are known for their wonderful quality and almost all plasma TVs come already equipped with an HDTV (high definition television) tuner which will allow you to watch all the HDTV channels that have been so widely discussed lately. The quality is amazingly realistic.

Defensive Driving - What Are The Choices?
Defensive Driving - What Are The Choices?
by: Mark Stone
At some point in our driving years I suspect most all of us have to take defensive driving, whether to get rid of a ticket or maybe to just lower our insurance. For many years you only had one option, traffic school. But times and the options have changed.
Traffic school used to consist of getting up early on a Saturday morning or spending two nights during the week sitting in a classroom, listening to a instructor speak in a monotone voice and watching old 16mm films with 1950?s cars and actors explaining the right and wrong way to drive a car. Although that option is probably available if you look for it, these days defensive driving class has gone high tech.
So what are the choices?

Knowing Your Satellite TV Systems
by: Teddy LC.
Even if you watch your satellite television 5 hours a day, I bet you can't tell what a satellite TV system really is.
Satellite television is TV broadcast delivered by way of orbiting communications satellites located 22,300 miles above the earth's surface. Satellite TV system, like other communications relayed by satellite, starts with a transmitting satellite antenna located at an uplink facility. Uplink satellite dishes are directed toward the satellite that its signals will be transmitted to, and are very large, as much as 9 to 12 meters (30 to 40 feet) in diameter.
There are mainly two types of satellite TV systems: TVRO and DBS. TVRO system, aka Television Receive Only, is the first satellite system available for home satellite viewing system. While the DBS system, Direct Broadcast Satellite is available later. These two satellite systems work in different band (C-band and Ku-band...

Batteries - Charging ahead
by: Eric Comforth
In these days of walk-and-talk and walk-and-work, battery chargers are as much a necessity to business as a microwave oven is to the kitchen. Cell phones, laptops, notebooks, and camcorders, just to mention a few.
But how do they work? Here are some types of battery chargers explained:
? Solar battery chargers: These little gems use the sun?s energy to recharge batteries. From car, boat and motorbikes to cell phones, DVD players and computers, there is a solar battery charger to suit.
? Automotive battery chargers: Most automotive battery chargers simply attach to the vehicle?s battery terminals and plug in to mains power. However, there are now new products on the market that work to prevent the battery from going flat in the first place.
To comprehend how the process works it is important to understand what causes a battery to deteriorate.
Car batteries rely on a chemical...

New Year - New Diet - New You?
New Year - New Diet - New You?
by: Ron Goodwsen - Imagine Me Media
Are you about to make yet another new year?s resolution, as you see out the old year, along with it?s broken promises and failed, good intentions?
Fresh with new-found conviction, after the gross excesses of the Christmas period and our usual failure to control ourselves, we arrive at the new year?s resolution, an annual triumph of hope over reality!
Hope, that this time you will have the single mindedness to succeed, where last time you failed. I?m not suggesting for a moment that you do not want to succeed, I?m sure that your desire to lose weight is genuine, but here?s the reality, it?s a hope, a dream and what?s the point in having dreams if you?re not going to make them happen?
You may dream of winning the lottery and yes, you could win! But it?s down to chance and you have a better chance of flying to the moon, than of winning the lottery.
Making a real...
